Apply to join the Dormitory Renewal Working Group

Hi dorm residents!

*tl;dr: Come help plan the musical chairs of dormitory renovations! How

This spring, VPSL Suzy Nelson wants to iron out the schedule of future dorm
renovations and temporary relocations (yay!). We are looking for *four*
dedicated students reps to serve on this working group.

As you may know, several of MIT's dormitories, including Burton Conner,
East Campus, and MacGregor, are due for renovations in the next
decade. This working group will be tasked with* looking at overcrowding
numbers and developing guidelines for temporary relocation of dorm
residents during renewal*. The findings of DRWG may influence the order and
type of renovations in the dorms.

*How will people be selected?*
DormCon will be selecting up to four representatives (including two
freshmen) to serve on DRWG. All current dorm residents are eligible--no
experience necessary! We are looking for people from all dorms. To apply,

be invited to an interview with us before being selected.

*How much of a time commitment is this?*
On average, one hour a week. All meetings will take place during spring
semester 2018, as plans for relocation are due next semester.

*Who else will be on this committee?*
Other than the four student reps, Suzy Nelson, DSL Housing, MIT Campus
Planning, and a few Heads of House will be there.
