[Dorms] 4 exciting opportunities to help with CPW!

Dear Dorm Residents,

Campus preview weekend is just around the corner, and we're busy helping
admissions to pull off an exciting weekend for the prefrosh who attend. This
year CPW is Thursday April 6th - Sunday April 9th, the weekend after we
return from spring break, and we need your help!

Here are four different ways, with varying time commitments that you can
volunteer to help out:
- Answer questions of prefrosh on the DormCon sponsored student-only, no
parents allowed, housing panel.
- Host a prefrosh for the weekend.
- Greet prefrosh and their families when they arrive at MIT.
- Make phone calls to prefrosh at the admitted students telethon.

1. The DormCon Housing Panel (Friday, April 7th)
This event will be held on Friday, April 7th from 5:30-7pm in Kirsch
Auditorium (32-123). After a short introduction to MIT's housing system, the
panel will feature 6-8 dorm residents who will answer questions of the 200+
prefrosh we expect will attend. If you are interested in being a panelist,
please reply to <dormcon-vp at mit.edu> ASAP.

2. Hosting a Prefrosh (Thursday, April 6th - Sunday, April 9th)
Here's a chance to introduce your living group to prefrosh, connect with an
admitted student and give him/her a glimpse of academics and student life at

3. Greet Prefrosh and their families (Thursday, April 6th)
Here's a great chance to meet lots of prefrosh. They'll arrive at MIT, and
need help finding their assigned living group. Volunteer to help out at the
CPW registration & help desk for a few hours. For more information, and to

4. Regular Action Telethon (Monday, March 27th)
MIT has admitted lots of students to the class of 2010. Here's your chance
to call them up, congratulate them on their admission and answer any
questions they may have. If you're around during spring break, stop by the
Bush Room (10-105) between 5-11:30pm on Monday, March 27th to make a few
calls.
