Create global branch for integration of an LDAP database backend.
Includes LDAP backend patch from Novell and an error handling patch
from Novell.  The error handling patch will require significant rework
in part because MIT did not provide design advice in a timely manner.
The file blocking-bugs in the top level of this directory lists issues
that need to be fixed before these changes can make it onto the trunk.
