Hosted by New York-based not for profit Lime Connect (Lime) for their corporate partners, the events will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at The Hyatt Regency Boston (One Avenue de Lafayette - at the Red Line Downtown Crossing stop, and one block from the Red and Green Lines Park Street stop) from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. (Registration begins at 5:30 pm.) For more detail, and to register/RSVP, see www.limeconnect.com/upcoming-events.html. Nationally, more than one in ten students on campus has a disability, and the majority of disabilities are "invisible." With the understanding that students with disabilities represent an untapped source of intellectual capital, Lime's partners fully value the talent that they bring to the corporate work force, and are seeking to hire. For them, partnering with Lime is all about "being smart," not about "being nice." "Lime is not your 'typical disability group,'" founder Rich Donovan said. "We represent a fresh approach in the disability/business space, and we're here to introduce students with disabilities to opportunities for great careers at best-in-class companies. And we do it all with a bit of an edge." Lime was founded in 2006 by Donovan, a Columbia MBA and former proprietary trader for Merrill Lynch in New York who happens to have cerebral palsy, to directly connect talented people with disabilities and global corporations for employment opportunities. Longer term, the organization and its partners are developing a global corporate standard to effectively and efficiently source, recruit, develop and market to people with disabilities. For more information on Lime, visit www.limeconnect.com. Lime's recruitment event for students with disabilities is co-hosted by MIT Careers Office. #### -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... This cost advantage, combined with brand advantage of foreign-invested enterprises, has transformed China into a world factory. For short of its brand advantage, China produced big volume but small value. China???s cost advantage is diminishing, for following reasons: (1) labor market is more globalized and regulated; (2) regulations on environments are tightening: (3) and consumers are more demanding. To meet these challenges, Chinese enterprises need to build their brand advantages and be more innovative in technology and management.
