It is time to conclude our New Year Celebration with the last event.

Chinese New Year Celebration 2004 -- Year of Monkey

*** Lantern Festival Performance and Dance Party ***
**************************************************************
* Content: Wonderful performance by students from MIT, Harvard and
University of Massachusetts, Lowell, plus guest performers. Dance party
will follow immediately after the performance and water will be provided.
* Time: 02/07/2004, Saturday, The show will start promptly at 7:30 PM and
the dance party will extend until Midnight. Come early and get a good spot
for the show.
* Place: Lobdell in Student Center at MIT. Here is how you can find the
place (84 Massachusetts Avenue). http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?mapterms=w20
* Admission: free for students from MIT, Harvard and UML
$3 for students (photo ID required)
$8 for non-students
The following is the performance sequence (subjected to slight changes). It
will be great fun.
* Opening: Lion Dance by MIT Lion Dance Team
* Chorus: Harvard C-Sharp A Cappella: (1) "Feng Yang Hua Gu"
(traditional); (2) "William Castle" (popular)
* Xin Jiang Dance: Newton DongFan (or Oriental) Dance troupe of Newton
Chinese Language School
* Xiang Sheng: MIT students by Kangyi Mao and Lin Han
* Instrumentation: Xi Yang Yang (Newton)
* Modern Dance: UML
* Peking Opera Female Solo: Amy Zhou
* Piano Solo by Sharon Kuo
* Handkerchief Dance: MIT students
* Band: Mark
* Tang Dynasty Court Dance: Liao Fang
* Skit: MIT and Harvard students
* Female Solo: Beidi Gu (Yuelin) Qing Zang Gao Yuan
* Fan Dance: Newton Chinese School DongFan (or Oriental) Dance troupe
of Newton Chinese Language School
* Violin and Piano by Amanda Wang and Sharon Kuo: Beethoven Violin
