Subject: [CSBi-HPC] 500 Tech Sq power outage

There will be a building wide power outage coming up on

		Saturday May 12th.

Power will be out the whole day and the computer systems will be 
unavailable.  I'll be shutting down the computer systems Friday night 
and turning them back on Sunday morning - plan accordingly.

Note:  This is the long awaited computer room upgrade to connect the UPS 
unit to the building emergency generator.  This means we shouldn't lose 
power in the computer room during future building power shutdowns.

Subject: [CSBi-HPC] CSBi IBM cluster status - 2

The IBM cluster is back up, but only with 24 processors.  One of the 8P 
nodes won't restart and I don't know if it will get repaired.

Subject: [CSBi-HPC] NE47 power outage

There will be another power outage on Saturday June 2nd in NE47.  While 
this won't directly affect the server room now that we're on emergency 
power, I just remembered the MIT networking room is not on emergency 
power, so you probably will lose network access to the CSBi HPC cluster. 
  All batch jobs should continue to run, but all login shells and any 
interactive programs will abort.
