Today's update:

The IBM Engineer and I have yet to get management console to talk to
the nodes' serial consoles, IBM Poughkeepsie has not been able to
suggest what the problem may be much less how to fix it.

Work is on going, I will make daily status update to this list as the
system remains down and at any major status change.

Hi All,

Progress has been make Ed Geraghty stopped by and sorted out the
imediate problems rather quickly.

The remainder of the delay is my fault for not having anticipated the
changes required in the VPN setup to get things working between
Whitehead and CSAIL.  The IBM nodes are up but I need to build a new
VPN box to get them integrated with the other clusters.

Things are moving along but I don't expect things to be back to
"production" quality until early next week.

Hi,
  Now that you are all clustering again over in STATA, I'd like to 
send out a special invitation to use STAR-P.
  I know the first step will be the install, but let's assume
we can work that out.
  THe next question is there one or two ofyou that really would
like to program your application in matlab and would actively
enjoy the help  of expert parallel programmers?
