This downtime will allow it's relocation to NE47. Use of the CSAIL half should not be affected. Thanks James ---------------------------------------------------------------------- James G. Message-ID: <5.1.0.14.2.20030820220221.00ae32d0@hesiod> Hi, Some of us (Serge and myself) are still unable to access the machines because of a firewall problem. Sanjoy kindly took the time today to sit and speak with us about the problem. He discussed with us possible methods around the issue, but those would require time and is still not certain to work. We were informed that with an IP address, hostname, and username, an account would be created for us and we would be able to start using the machines some time ago. Now, I cannot log on to any of the machines. I do request that the solution to this problem remain simple for the end user. The idea of an IP address and account seems most logical and straightforward. Please notify us as soon as possible when this problem is solved because I would like to begin sending jobs to the server this week. Thank you for your time.
