The CDO program aims to educate graduate students in the formulation, analysis, and implementation of computational approaches to understanding, predicting, designing, controlling, and optimizing complex systems. If you are interested in computational aspects of problems in engineering, science, and/or related disciplines, you might want to consider pursuing a master's degree in CDO, either as a stand-alone degree or in parallel with your other graduate studies. For more information on the CDO Program, visit the new CDO website: http://web.mit.edu/cdo-program/ Finally, our apologies for using a mass e-mail to make this announcement, but the application deadline is only three weeks away (January 21st) and we needed to get this information out quickly. ********************************************************************** Professor Robert M. Workshop in Computational and Systems Biology Modeling Applications to Signaling, Pathway and Network Modeling A few spots are still available!! January 20, 2005 1pm-5pm January 21, 2005 9am-Noon MIT Campus Bldg E53, Room 220 Maximum 20 Registrants More information, plus a registration form at the CSBi Website: http://csbi.mit.edu/events Instructors: Dr. John Tolsma, Numerica Technology, LLC. Dr. Taeshin Park, RES Group, Inc. Dr. Paul Barton, Department of Chemical Engineering, MIT The January 20-21 workshop is intended for those who are new users of Jacobian?. There will be a workshop in February intended for those who are experienced Jacobian? users. Emphasis in the February workshop will be on advanced applications including topics such as analyzing the model to identify equations that are incorrectly posed (redundant, under specified, singular, etc.) and are responsible failure during computation; and expanded statistical analysis in parameter estimation.
