chapter's first distinguished seminar of 2018.  ALAN EDELMAN, PROFESSOR OF 
APPLIED MATHEMATICS, WILL GIVE AN INTRODUCTION TO THE JULIA PROGRAMMING 
LANGUAGE.  Refreshments from Flour will be provided.

Julia is a high-level, high-performance dynamic programming language for
numerical computing. It provides a sophisticated compiler, distributed
parallel execution, numerical accuracy, and an extensive mathematical
