*Do You Hear What I Hear? *A Holiday Crime Prevention Notice
Issued: December 27, 2008

Said the night wind to the person lurking in the hall
Do you see what I see
Way up in that room is a TV
A TV a TV
Dancing in the night
With an open door and an elevator near by
Oh Boy, Oh boy, there's no one near by.

Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing through the halls, x3-1212 is the number.
Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song
Who's walking in the hall?
Will that person call
Will that person call the MIT Police to report a suspicious person?

Do you know what I know?
The MIT Police are here 24 hours a day, every day of the year
We are waiting for you to call and report a suspicious person lurking in
the hall, or any other suspicious behavior. Don't let the suspicious
person take the silver or gold, the laptop, the I-Pod, or the TV. See
something - say something.

So, before you leave for the holiday break - don't leave your room and
valuables unsecured. Lock the door, lock the windows, and oh by golly
lock the file cabinets.

There will still be members of the MIT community here, but with fewer
eyes and ears watching and listening, we count on you to report anything
suspicious immediately by calling 617-253-1212 or, 100 from campus phones.

A Happy Holiday Season to you and to all a good night!
