We are following up on the Provost’s and Chancellor’s e-mails (below) inviting undergraduates and research mentors to participate in the first ever Institute-wide UROP Mixer happening on Tue, Oct 28th. This expo-style event aims to connect undergraduates with mentors offering exciting UROP opportunities (across all MIT disciplines) for IAP, Spring, and Summer 2026.

We know students are thinking seriously about pursuing research in the coming months, and we hope you will help us promote the Mixer to undergraduates connected to your department.  Undergraduates may sign up in advance here<https://airtable.com/appvq7CKz6JYH6YfA/shrcZdCMkMcyWkygX>.

We also hope more UROP mentors will join us and share their UROP opportunities with undergraduates attending the event.  If you know of individuals (e.g faculty, grad students, post-docs) in your area interested in recruiting UROP students, please share this information with those individuals. Bring your posters, demos, prototypes, or just your passion – we encourage you to share your work in whatever form fits you best.
