Hi Everyone,

Not sure where to start your personal statement for your graduate school (or medical school) application? Come learn about the basics of personal statement writing, general "dos and don'ts," and get brainstorming advice for your personal experiences at a Personal Statement Writing Workshop with Jules!

This workshop will cover general Personal Statement and Statement of Purpose writing advice for graduate school applications, followed by Q&A for attendees. This workshop will be help on Thursday, October 9th at 5pm in room 68-121.
Pizza will be provided.

Jules Van Goor (she/her/hers) is a 4th year Biology PhD candidate in the lab of Sara Prescott. Prior to graduate school, Jules worked in the University of Michigan Sweetland Writing Center for 2+ years, where she was trained in effective writing and feedback strategies. She has given personal statement and resume writing workshops to various audiences for over 5 years.
