[bioundgrd] Reminder: Biology Undergraduate Research Symposium 2026 - Call for Nominations

Dear Students,

The Biology Undergraduate Committee is soliciting nominations from faculty for students to speak at the Biology Undergraduate Research Symposium on Thursday, January 29 from 12-5pm. The Symposium is a means to honor top students for outstanding research effort. The committee will select students to submit an abstract and present a talk on their research.

If you would like to speak at the Symposium, please contact your faculty supervisor and mentor, especially if you are working in a non-Biology faculty member's lab. Any course 7, 5-7 or 6-7 students who are doing a UROP are eligible. Letters from your faculty supervisor and mentor are due to the Education Office (stonej at mit.edu<mailto:stonej at mit.edu>) by Monday, November 24. Attached are the Biology Undergraduate Research Symposium booklets from 2025 for reference. Thank you.
