Dear Students,

I am writing to let you know that I will be teaching a new half-semester course during the second half of this Spring Semester entitled “20.S901: Quantitative Medical Physiology for Scientists and Engineers”. The course starts after Spring Break, runs from April 1st through the end of the semester, is for 9 credits. The course is a series of lectures, demonstrations, and laboratory exercises covering major aspects of human physiology in a mathematically quantitative manner, and includes dissection of anatomic specimens, discussion of clinical cases, and the performance and analysis of human physiology experiments. Prerequisites for the course are 7.01, 8.01 and 8.02. It will help to have taken or be co-enrolled in 7.05, but that is not strictly required.

-Prof. Yaffe
