Good Afternoon,

The Biology Diversity Equity and Inclusion Council (DEIC)<https://biology.mit.edu/about/diversity/dei-council/> is seeking to bring on three new people (1 post doc, 1 graduate student, and 1 undergrad) to the council for the ‘24-‘25 academic year which runs from July 2024 to July 2025. This is a great opportunity to engage in DEI in the department and to encourage programs and policies you are interested in and that would benefit the community. Please encourage members of the Biology community to apply!

Council members are expected to serve for a minimum of one academic year. Time commitment expected to serve on the council is about 2 hours of meetings each month and 2-4 hours of monthly collaborative work beyond that and is very flexible depending on individual schedules. Please fill out this short form<https://forms.gle/Jy4JoDD5YoUbykyj8> to express interest in the Biology DEIC by Monday, June 17th. Please note we have extended the deadline, so spread the word! Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Best,
Hallie
