Subject: Do not miss the Biology Colloquium Tomorrow 4pm

Dear MIT Biology, BE and CSB Colleagues,

I am sending this email to strongly encourage attendance in person to the Biology Colloquium tomorrow (09/27) at 4 pm.

Tomorrow we will have a great talk provided by Diane Mathis.

Diane is a Harvard medical School professor, a member of the US National academy of science and American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Her lab over the years has done seminal contributions in immunology that cross paths with several of our areas of interest here in the Biology department. That includes T cell differentiation biology, T cell memory and survival and Regulation of Autoimmunity.

Additionally, her lab in partnership with Christophe Benoist are founding members of the Immunological Genome Project. A collaborative effort between immunology groups and Computational Biology labs to make it easy to access data regarding genome’s activity in immune cells. This platform is widely used by all immunologists having a tremendous impact shaping the field.

So, in my humble opinion, her talk will be super interesting to all biology, bioengineering and Computational and System Biology community.

Hope I will see you all in the Kirsch Auditorium
