Employers Attending
We will be hosting 260 employers at the fair on Friday! Please view the full list of attending employers<https://airtable.com/shr2A11QUncius05E> and visit our booth map page<https://capd.mit.edu/maps-and-floor-plans-for-the-2022-fall-career-fair/> to see where the employers are physically located.

Special Initiatives at the In-person Fair

  * First-Year Undergraduate Early Access<https://capd.mit.edu/fcf-fyf-initiative/> - *This year we are hosting early access just for first-year undergraduate students only between 9:30-10am. We encourage first-year UGs to arrive well before 9:30am to check-in and start meeting with the first-year friendly employers
  * Special Labels<https://capd.mit.edu/fcf-inperson/> - We asked employers a set of questions to help us determine their fit for MIT, recruiting practices, and commitment to diversity, sustainability, and more. The information collected was used to determine which employers are eligible for one or more of the following labels: FYF, FYF+, SEE, DE&I, LGB+, and EPE. Please visit our Candidate Information In-person Fair page<https://capd.mit.edu/fcf-inperson/> for more detail about what these labels mean.

Interviews on Saturday, Sept. 24th
Over 75 employers will be conducting interviews in the Johnson Athletic Center from 10-4pm on Saturday, Sept. 24th. Employers will invite select students at the fair to participate in an interview. Students should not be discouraged if they are not selected for a Saturday interview as the majority of employers opted to host their interviews at a later date.

Virtual Fall Career Fair, Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1 - 5pm, Handshake platform

Candidate Registration
UGs, Grads, PhDs, Postdocs, and recent alumni are highly encouraged to register in advance<https://app.joinhandshake.com/career_fairs/33449/student_preview?token=b3uT_mHqyWg9HJljWQ0Kp1tNhA6kuoyioc5fPJoG-_s4cCKso_nG6w> so that they can sign up for 1:1 chats and group sessions with employers.

Employers Attending
A full list can be viewed in Handshake<https://app.joinhandshake.com/career_fairs/33449/student_preview?token=b3uT_mHqyWg9HJljWQ0Kp1tNhA6kuoyioc5fPJoG-_s4cCKso_nG6w> and we plan on preparing a spreadsheet similar to the one offered for the Fall Career Fair soon. The spreadsheet list will be published on the Candidate Information page for the Virtual Fair<https://capd.mit.edu/fcf-virtual/>.

Signing up for 1:1 Chats and Group Sessions
On the Handshake Virtual Fairs page<https://capd.mit.edu/resources/handshake-virtual-fairs/>, we have tutorials and tips for candidates and employers on participating in online chats through the Handshake virtual platform. There are over 2500 individual chats available for students to sign-up for.

Virtual Fair Resume Book (event)
To address a missing feature in the Handshake virtual fair platform that allows employers the ability to personally invite candidates to their 1:1 chat schedules, we have created a 2022 Virtual Fall Fair Resume Book event<https://app.joinhandshake.com/events/1057516/share_preview> in Handshake. At the time of registration, students were instructed to update their Handshake profile, upload a default resume visible to employers in Handshake, and then register for the resume book event. To be clear this is not an actual event, but rather a depository of virtual fair attendee resumes that employers approved to attend the virtual fair will have access for the purpose of sending a personal invite to their 1:1 chats. All 1:1 and Group sessions at the virtual fair are open to any registered candidate to sign-up, regardless if personally invited or not.

We hope you find this information helpful! Students registered for the fair have also received emails with information about what to expect at the fair. Please refer students to the Fall Career Fair Site for Candidates<https://capd.mit.edu/channels/fcf-candidateinfo/> or direct them to cf-directors at mit.edu<mailto:cf-directors at mit.edu> if they have questions.

Best,
