Subject: Please Share: New Program for Undergrads - MCSC Climate & Sustainability Scholars Program
Date: March 24, 2022 at 1:12:01 PM EDT

The MCSC just launched a new year-long program for MIT undergraduates, the MIT Climate & Sustainability Scholars Program<https://impactclimate.mit.edu/climate-and-sustainability-scholars/>, that allows students to take a 6-unit Climate.UAR course plus 10 hours/week of (paid) research a semester.

Applications are open to rising juniors and seniors (but we want to spread the word more broadly) through mid-April, so if you could please forward the message below or share in your newsletters anytime now through Monday, April 4, that will give students time to learn about the program and apply if interested. If you share after March 30, just remove the note about the Open House event, please.

We are really excited about this program and hope you will help us in spreading the word.

Thank you for your support!
Molly

Join the New MIT Climate & Sustainability Scholars Program

The MIT Climate & Sustainability Consortium (MCSC) recently launched a program that will engage MIT undergraduates in a unique, year-long, interdisciplinary experience both developing and implementing climate and sustainability research projects. The MCSC Climate & Sustainability Scholars Program<https://impactclimate.mit.edu/climate-and-sustainability-scholars/>, open to rising juniors and seniors, is a way for students to explore new facets of climate and sustainability, strengthen their skillsets in a variety of climate and sustainability-related areas, build their networks, and continue to embrace and grow their passion for the space.

The Climate & Sustainability Scholars Program has three elements: Climate.UAR course, experiential learning opportunities, and mentorship. Students in the program will enroll for a fall-spring sequence in a Climate.UAR course and will be engaged with a complementary research project during that time, which can be on or off campus. Students will also be encouraged to participate in on- or off-campus research or internships related to the MCSC over the summer. If you are interested, please learn more and apply<https://impactclimate.mit.edu/climate-and-sustainability-scholars/>.

If this sounds interesting to you, please join us for an Open House to ask any questions you might have:
