Subject: FW: Application Open for the 2022-23 CSPC Presidential Fellows Program (MIT Rep)
Date: June 2, 2022 at 12:10:35 PM EDT
*************************************************************************************************************************
We are looking for the next MIT undergraduate to represent MIT as the 2022-23 Presidential Fellow in the Program at the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress (CSPC) in Washington, DC. The selection committee will choose one MIT undergraduate student, usually a senior, to serve as a Presidential Fellow.
This is a highly distinguished non-residential fellowship that requires fellows to attend one policy conference in Washington, DC during the academic year. More information and dates of the conference should be available soon. CSPC will cover room and board for the fellow and the MIT Technology and Policy Program (TPP) will reimburse transportation expenses. During the conference fellows will have opportunities to meet with policymakers, explore national sites like the White House and U.S. Capitol, and engage with influential political and media figures. The conference will be supplemented by monthly digital sessions with prominent policy experts, political figures, journalists, and private-sector leaders. Additionally, fellows will complete a 10-15 page research paper on the US Presidency and/or the Congress that is eligible for publication and awards.
To apply, send a copy of your MIT grade transcript, resume, and a statement of interest including reasons why you would be an outstanding candidate and a commitment to completing the program to Barbara DeLaBarre at barbarad at mit.edu<mailto:barbarad at mit.edu>.
The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, June 29th. Applicants may be US or non-US Citizens. The selection process should be complete by Monday, August 1st.
