Hello,

The Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS) at MIT has just announced our 2022 Video Competition: MIT Research for a Food Secure Future. The competition is in honor of World Food Day on October 16th, which is an international day dedicated to raising awareness about food, food insecurity, and food systems challenges.

We are inviting current MIT undergraduate and graduate students, recent alumni, and current postdocs to submit 2 to 2.2 minute video portraits of their agriculture and/or food systems-related research projects, and the challenges they hope to address. The winning videos will receive cash prizes and be featured in a virtual film festival leading up to World Food Day to showcase MIT’s research and innovation in the food systems space.

The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
