MIT Veterans Day Celebration: Morss Hall – 11/11/21 12:00-3:00pm

Hello Friends,

We know our veterans have made sacrifices to serve our country, and we want to come together as a community to show our appreciation for their service through celebration this Veterans Day. The MIT Student Veterans Association is partnering with the MIT ROTC to host the “MIT Veterans Day Celebration” in Morss Hall (Walker Memorial-Bldg 50) starting at 12:00 on November 11th, 2021. The theme this year is “A Celebration of Service”.

Join us as we showcase veterans who are students, faculty, and staff at MIT and offer the wider community a way to say “thank you” to our veterans. We will have a joint-service Color Guard present the Colors at the event followed by remarks delivered by special guest speakers, including Rear Admiral (ret.) David Lane, MD, former director of the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and Coleman Nee, former Massachusetts Secretary of Veterans’ Services.

Catered food will be served for all guests, but space is limited.

Disclaimers: We are still operating under Covid restrictions, so a few rules must apply. All guests must be in Covid Pass or registered through Tim Tickets for the event. Please follow the instructions in the Eventbrite registration confirmation email to ensure that all non-MIT guests (significant others, etc.) are registered with Tim Tickets in advance. Children will not be able to attend due to restrictions.
