Dear MIT Colleagues,

We are writing to encourage you to highlight the walk-in, no-appointment, and free Covid-19 vaccine clinics MIT Medical will hold in Johnson Athletic Center (W34) this week. Full details are below.

The vaccine clinics will be in addition to regular Covid-19 testing. Those receiving their routine testing may also choose to get the vaccine at the same time.

This is a terrific opportunity for students to meet their vaccination requirement and for staff, especially those on campus, to easily and quickly get vaccinated during work hours.

Thank you for helping us keep our community safe.

Dear MIT community member,

We are pleased to let you know that MIT Medical has received a supply of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine, and will hold a free, no appointment required, walk-in clinic this week on Wednesday and Thursday inside the Johnson Athletic Center (W34<http://o6os.mj.am/lnk/AG4AAHHAMYgAAAAAAAAAAFjKGPEAAYCrmSUAAAAAAATIvQBgmTt003IE2lrRQ5WDOqn8P8YhfAAEleU/1/tj4hE4xKPyr4SlcHSv_pjA/aHR0cHM6Ly93aGVyZWlzLm1pdC5lZHUvP2dvPVczNA>).

Clinic Hours in the Johnson Athletic Center

• Wednesday, May 12, from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.

• Thursday May 13, from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Vaccine & Clinic Information

• MIT Medical has a supply of the Covid-19 Moderna (EUA) vaccine ONLY.

• The clinics are available to those receiving their first or second dose of the Moderna vaccine. For those receiving their second dose, their first dose MUST have been with the Moderna Covid 19 (EUA) vaccine, and proof of vaccination is required (e.g., physical copy of CDC card or record of first dose in MIT Medical records).

• MIT Medical does not currently anticipate receiving a sufficient supply of the Moderna vaccine to schedule appointments for second doses. If you will be in Massachusetts when your second dose is due, you may schedule it using mass.gov/covid-19-vaccine<http://o6os.mj.am/lnk/AG4AAHHAMYgAAAAAAAAAAFjKGPEAAYCrmSUAAAAAAATIvQBgmTt003IE2lrRQ5WDOqn8P8YhfAAEleU/4/Mz1ZrT1AU-pENjjtzwQVSQ/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubWFzcy5nb3YvY292aWQtMTktdmFjY2luZQ>. If you will be out of state, we strongly encourage you to schedule your second dose at one of the retail pharmacies or mass vaccination sites across the nation. As long as you have your vaccine record card, you will be able to receive your second dose at a site outside of Massachusetts.

Additional Information

• Anyone with an MIT ID number who is 18 or older is eligible for the vaccine clinic; no proof of insurance is necessary.

• The testing center at Johnson will remain open during the vaccine clinic. Those receiving their routine testing may also choose to get the vaccine at the same time.

• Do not come to get tested or get the vaccine if you are feeling ill or are exhibiting any symptoms of Covid-19.

• Please drink plenty of water prior to your vaccination. All those receiving the vaccine will need to be observed after the injection, typically for 15 minutes.

• MIT Medical will automatically record your vaccination and upload it to the AtlasCovid Vaccine<http://o6os.mj.am/lnk/AG4AAHHAMYgAAAAAAAAAAFjKGPEAAYCrmSUAAAAAAATIvQBgmTt003IE2lrRQ5WDOqn8P8YhfAAEleU/5/gVyA12MbC5c6UxbHMLorUQ/aHR0cDovL2NvdmlkdmFjY2luZS5taXQuZWR1> app. To check if your vaccine status has been recorded, or to update it, please visit covidvaccine.mit.edu<http://o6os.mj.am/lnk/AG4AAHHAMYgAAAAAAAAAAFjKGPEAAYCrmSUAAAAAAATIvQBgmTt003IE2lrRQ5WDOqn8P8YhfAAEleU/6/L5x5eTdrw46a35Ov24WOpg/aHR0cDovL2NvdmlkdmFjY2luZS5taXQuZWR1>.

Please note that vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals must continue to follow the appropriate testing, masking, distancing, and gathering protocols while on campus.

Thank you!
