Best wishes to all for a Happy Healthy New Year. Hoping that 2021 is a bit better than 2020!
COVID Hack info from the UA:
Want to be involved in making the Spring semester better? Have any ideas or solutions to improve MIT COVID policy? You’re invited to MIT COVID Hack<http://ua.mit.edu/covid-hack>, your opportunity to improve student life, happening January 8th-10th!
Sign up alone or form teams with up to three fellow MIT students to ideate solutions to some of this past semester's biggest challenges. All proposals will be presented to a judging panel, which will include relevant administrators who will implement winning solutions on campus this spring!
Fill out our sign-up form<https://tinyurl.com/mitcovidhack2021> by January 6th if you’re interested in participating. Hear from President Reif, Mayor Siddiqui, Bob Langer, Andrew Dreyfus and win prizes<http://ua.mit.edu/prizes> (such as Patagonias, airpods, projectors and more)! Every participant will also receive a Hydro Flask!
MIT COVID Hack Tracks:
Designing Outdoor Spaces
Reimagining Virtual Communities
Improving the Remote Learning Experience
Connecting Students and Policies
Unlike conventional hackathons, this one is not purely computer science or mechanical engineering-focused. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience. Throughout the hackathon, students will get expert advice from MIT staff and alumni. After drafting their proposals, or developing their tools, teams’ submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges made up of MIT faculty and administrators.
