Please share these part-time social impact internship undergrad opportunities for the spring semester. These internships are paid through the ELO guarantee. We will have many more opportunities listed in the coming weeks and also will have full-time summer opportunities.

We also are offering a new for-credit course, Informed Philanthropy in Theory and Action<https://pkgcenter.mit.edu/programs/pkg-academic-courses/>, that will provide students with $10,000 (real $$) to deliver to non-profits.

The College is on the verge of reinventing/reimagining itself for the 21st Century. This is a critical moment requiring a team of people who are willing to dive in and be part of something big, something challenging, something important. What better way to signal 21st Century reinvention and reimagination than to add interactive digital art to the campus? The role of the Digital Art Intern is to design and create a prototype interactive digital art piece/ installation that conveys a campus that is future-focused and that cares about the health and wellbeing of students, faculty and staff.

The intern will focus on a conceptual mapping project that helps communities identify sites and properties in their neighborhoods that would be preferably preserved. Because only the more affluent neighborhoods in Boston have historic preservation protections, other neighborhoods will be targeted for this pilot to help slow the onslaught of demolition and insensitive new construction that erodes the history and character of these areas. This project attempts to give a voice to underrepresented groups that have been left out of the decision-making process.
