Subject: MIT Sloan Event: Engineering Social Change Panel (2/3 @ 3 pm)
Date: February 1, 2021 at 12:40:48 PM EST
On February 3rd at 3PM Sloan Undergrad will be hosting the first of an ongoing series of discussions titled: Engineering Social Change. Each discussion will feature a panel of MIT students and MIT alumni that will (through a moderator) share their stories of their personal and professional journeys within a social change dimension(s).
The first ESC event, Engineering Social Change, Racial Equity in the Workplace<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/engineering-social-change-tickets-136815899037?utm-medium=discovery&utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&aff=escb&utm-source=cp&utm-term=listing> explores panelists personal and professional experiences in the workplace related to racial equity. After the panel discussion participants will have the opportunity to join a breakout room for an opportunity for small conversations.
This program was the idea of Nwanacho (Nacho) Nwana ‘20, a Course 15 alumnus! We are grateful for his work and insight, as well as the work of Abiola Familusi (Course 15 sophomore), who has been helping with the event’s communications.
We hope that you might join us on February 3. You can register via Eventbrite<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/engineering-social-change-tickets-136815899037?utm-medium=discovery&utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&aff=escb&utm-source=cp&utm-term=listing> and a Zoom link will be sent to you before the event. ESC is open to the MIT community, so feel free to share this email across your networks. For more information and content you can follow the ESC LinkedIn page<https://www.linkedin.com/company/engineering-social-change>. If you have any questions feel free to send an email<mailto:ugeducation at sloan.mit.edu>.
