Dear student,

I am writing to remind you of the pre-registration schedule for Summer and Fall 2021. Pay special attention to the deadlines; some have late fees associated with them. All continuing students — including graduate students taking thesis or research credit — are required to pre-register for fall term to maintain their student status. Dates, deadlines, and details are below.

Pre-registration for Summer and Fall 2021

Summer 2021

  *   Pre-registration opens at 9 AM on Monday, May 3 and closes at 5 PM on Thursday, May 27.
  *   Submit your pre-registration<https://registrar.mit.edu/registration-academics/pre-registration> using WebSIS<http://websis.mit.edu/>.
  *   After pre-registration closes, you may use Online Registration<http://registration.mit.edu/> to add your classes beginning June 1.


Fall 2021

  *   Pre-registration<https://registrar.mit.edu/registration-academics/pre-registration> for the fall term opens at 9 AM on Monday, May 3.
  *   We encourage you to make CI-H/HW subject selections<https://registrar.mit.edu/registration-academics/academic-requirements/communication-requirement/ci-hhw-subjects/ci-hhw> before June 17. After this date, you may only add yourself to CI-H/HW waitlists.
  *   Once you have submitted your initial pre-registration on WebSIS,<http://websis.mit.edu/> you can modify your subject selections until pre-registration closes on Thursday, August 26 at 5 PM.
  *   There is an $85 late fee for those who do not pre-register by August 26.
