Hi Everyone,

This is just a reminder that if you have not sent in your biosketch and picture for the Senior Booklets 2021, please do so by Today, Wednesday, April 21, if you want your information included. We will be giving these booklets out at both the virtual Undergraduate Celebration on June 2 and the virtual Biology Undergraduate Commencement Program on June 4. We will also be using your photo and bioskecth at the virtual Biology Undergraduate Commencement Program on June 4 in a recognition presentation. Thanks again!

Hi Everyone,

The Biology Department would like to honor you with booklets recognizing your hard work and congratulating you on graduation. In these booklets we would like to include your name, picture, and a short bioskecth – please see the sample below from Prof. Drennan. This is optional and if you don’t want a biosketch or picture, we will just include your name and degree. We will use your WebSIS picture in the booklets unless you send a picture you would like to be used. We will be giving these booklets out at both the Undergraduate Celebration on June 2 and the Biology Undergraduate Commencement Program on June 4. We will also be using your photo and bioskecth at the Biology Undergraduate Commencement Program on June 4 in a recognition presentation.

Please send your bioskecth and picture to me, stonej at mit.edu<mailto:stonej at mit.edu> by Wednesday, April 21 if you would like it included in the booklet. Thanks.

Sample Biosketch:

Cathy Drennan is originally from Patterson, New York. In addition to studying Chemistry and Biology in college, she studied Drama. The highlight of her drama education was taking a class on Indian Folk Theatre with visiting professor and famous Indian playwright Balwant Gargi. The highlight of her science education was carrying out an independent research project using X-ray crystallography with Prof. Miriam Rossi. When Cathy wasn’t in lab or in class, she enjoyed being a volunteer dog walker, being a Big Sister in the Big Brother/Big Sister program, and hanging out with friends in theTownHouses. After graduation, Cathy is off to Iowa to teach science and drama at a Quaker boarding school and working hog farm.
