I want to call your attention to the MIT Faculty Meeting that is scheduled for November 18. The first agenda item is a memorial resolution for Angelika Amon that will be read by Tyler Jacks (please see below). The faculty meeting is open to the MIT community. If interested, you may log-in (Touchstone required). Joining by phone or audio only does not require authentication.

Please feel free to join for the start of the meeting (or the entire meeting if you like).

Agenda:

1.  Memorial Resolution for Professor Angelika Amon -- Professor Tyler Jacks, Director, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research
On behalf of the Department of Biology and the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, Professor Jacks will offer remarks in memory of Professor Amon, a pioneering scientist, and an exemplary leader and colleague.

2.  Vote on Housekeeping Changes to Rules and Regulations of the Faculty -- Professor Rick Danheiser, Chair of the Faculty
The Faculty will vote on the three housekeeping changes to Rules and Regulations of the Faculty that were presented in October.

3.  Task Force 2021 and Beyond -- Vice President for Open Learning Sanjay Sarma; Professor Rick Danheiser, Chair of the Faculty; and the Co-Chairs of the Task Force Workstreams
The co-chairs of Task Force 2021 and the co-chairs of the Task Force Workstreams<https://tf2021.mit.edu/members-task-force-2021-and-beyond> will provide an overview and update on the work of the Task Force to date, as well as next steps going forward.

4.  Update re Sexual/Gender-based Harassment Prevention -- Professor Lerna Ekmekcioglu and Ms. Sarah Rankin, Director, Institute Discrimination & Harassment Response
The co-chairs of the Committee on Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response will update the Faculty on a required training that will be rolled out beginning in January to all faculty, staff, and graduate students in their third year or above.

5.  The Schwarzman College: Update and Open Discussion -- Dean Dan Huttenlocher
Dean Huttenlocher will update the Faculty on the progress of two new cross-cutting aspects of the College: Social and Ethical Responsibilities of Computing, and Common Ground for computing education. Following this, he will respond to questions and comments. Note: Dean Huttenlocher understands that there may also be interest in the status of the shared faculty hiring. 6.  Corporation Update -- Ms. Diane Greene, Chair of the MIT Corporation
The new Chair of the MIT Corporation will introduce herself to the Faculty and provide a brief overview of recent changes in the Corporation. She will then respond to questions from faculty.
