Subject: [Parkinfo] Thanksgiving Shuttle

The Parking and Transportation Office will provide a complimentary shuttle service to Logan Airport for students heading home at Thanksgiving. Shuttles will be available at the scheduled departure times on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 20-22, for students only (no guests or family members). Advance reservations are required.

Please visit the shuttle reservation page<http://web.mit.edu/facilities/transportation/shuttles/airport.html> to reserve a seat. Note that shuttle capacity is capped at 50% to maintain physical distancing for the safety of our passengers and drivers, so space is limited. Please reserve early to be guaranteed a seat.

Shuttles will depart from the Kresge parking lot<http://whereis.mit.edu/?go=P29> at the scheduled times; shuttles will run every hour between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Please make sure you arrive on time as the shuttles must adhere to the posted departure schedule, and please maintain physical distancing while waiting to board and while on the vehicle. You will need to keep your face covering on at all times.

The trip to Logan Airport is usually about a half-hour, but you should allow up to an hour to accommodate traffic, construction, and airport security delays. Note: If you are unable to book a seat and are taking public transportation or getting a private ride to the airport, be sure to review MBTA travel safety information<https://www.mbta.com/covid19> regarding COVID-19.

Please have your MIT ID ready to present to the shuttle driver.

COVID-19 shuttle preparations:
• Face coverings are required for passengers and drivers; drivers also wear gloves.
• To create physical distancing, no passengers are permitted to use aisle seats; this is indicated with decals posted on the seats.
• Please fill seats starting at the back of the bus and progressing toward the front. When disembarking, allow the passengers at the front to disembark first. The process should then progress toward passengers at the back.
• Plastic shields have been installed between the driver and passenger areas on all shuttles.
• Shuttles are cleaned daily using a COVID-approved fogging process along with enhanced cleaning procedures.

Wishing you a safe and restful Thanksgiving break!

Tom
