Dear (virtual) TAs,
Do you have questions about how to transition your TA duties online?
- How do you best help students during your recitation when you're not face-to-face?
- What is the best way to do "board work" when you're communicating online?
The MIT Teaching and Learning Lab is here to answer all of your questions! To support TAs in transitioning to teaching remotely, the TLL will be offering two upcoming webinars via Zoom. Please use the following links to sign up:
* Facilitating Remote Problem Solving<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/100438287622> on Wednesday, March 25 @ 3:00 - 4:00 pm
* TAing Remotely: General Advice and Q&A<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/100439051908> on Thursday, March 26 @ 2:30 - 4:00 pm
Registration is limited to enable active participation. However, these recordings will be made available via teachremote.mit.edu/webinars<https://teachremote.mit.edu/webinars> and those waitlisted will be directly emailed the link to the recordings once they are published.
Please reach out to me, your Teaching Development Fellow (smorrill at mit.edu<mailto:smorrill at mit.edu>) or the TLL (tll at mit.edu<mailto:tll at mit.edu>) if you have any questions, or if we can be of support as you make this transition to TAing remotely.
I will also be hosting Zoom office hours next week to help TAs figure out any bugs, or answer any question that folks have about launching their online recitations. Join URL: https://mit.zoom.us/j/665903302
Stay safe!
Best,
