Hello!

I’m hoping you will forward this course announcement to your undergraduate students! Field Oceanography is a lab-centered course that introduces students to the chemistry, biology, and physics of the ocean. Through hands-on experience in the lab and at sea, students learn about central topics regarding how the ocean works and how we know how it works (measurements!).

It should be a lot of fun, and spring break sailing off the coast of St Croix shouldn’t hurt! No supplemental fees, previous lab experience, or sailing prowess are required to enroll in the course.

I’ve targeted your departments because each of you had majors who took this course during its initial offering in Spring 2018 (you may notice some of them in the photos!).
