If so, you (and your colleagues!) should teach for Summer HSSP! Summer HSSP is a seven-week program that runs on Sundays from July 7th to August 18th. More than 500 students in grades 7-12 are coming to MIT to take classes from people like you! Sign up to teach a 1 hr or 1.5 hr class for seven Sundays on absolutely anything, from “Thermodynamics” to “The Gods of Gielinor (Runescape!)” to “Grammar as Science”. Classes are typically taught by small teams of students, so we especially encourage partnering with your friends or colleagues to co-teach a class.
In addition to the rewards of teaching itself, you will also receive a free t-shirt, as well as lunch every day of the program. If you have any questions about the program or a class you’d like to teach, feel free to reach us at summer-hssp at mit.edu<mailto:summer-hssp at mit.edu>.
Sign up to teach here<https://esp.mit.edu/teach/HSSP/2019_Summer/teacherreg> by May 10th! We will contact all teachers after they register to schedule informal teacher interviews that will take place from May 7th to May 25th --we’d just like to get a sense of the topic(s) you’d like to teach, as well as your teaching style. If you won’t be on campus over that time period, let us know and we can make alternative arrangements.
Sincerely,
Janice and Rujul
Summer HSSP 2019 Directors
