Subject: Re: Advertising to the MIT Biology Department
I’m writing in regards to a summer coding opportunity for students.
I work at Dana-Farber on the cBioPortal for Cancer Genomics, which is an open-source platform for analyzing cancer genomics data. We are participating in the Google Summer of Code, which is a program that provides a stipend to students (both undergraduate and graduate level) who spend the summer contributing to open-source projects like ours. We are looking for strong applicants to contribute to our project.
Would you be willing to send out the announcement below?
Thank you!
-Tali

Google Summer of Code<https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/> is a summer program that offers students stipends to develop software for open source projects.
The cBioPortal is looking for student applicants to work with us as part of the Google Summer of Code. If you are interested, please check us out: https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/organizations/5351601731010560/ and https://github.com/cBioPortal/GSoC/wiki/ideas.
Applications are due on April 9.
Please help spread the word and forward this email to any students and departments who might be interested.
Best Regards,
cBioPortal Team
