Greetings!
I was wondering if you could share this around with your students. We’ll be holding an information session next week about Distinguished Fellowships and the general process for applying internally at MIT. We will be holding it next Wednesday the 13th at 2pm in 5-217. Students can sign up through CareerBridge<https://candidate.gradleaders.com/MITGECD/Candidates/Login.aspx?pid=3624&workshopID=89584> if they’d like. Here’s a short blurb:
“The Office of Distinguished Fellowships will be holding an info session about the general process students follow in order to apply for scholarships and fellowships that fund graduate study. Whether you want to study at Stanford, in Beijing, or in the UK, our office helps students through the process of searching and applying for these opportunities.
If you are interested in doing your own research project abroad, you should consider applying for a US Fulbright to any of 150 countries<https://us.fulbrightonline.org/about/eligibility>. These scholarships allow you to perform research on any topic pertinent to the host country and provide you with a monthly living stipend. If you are interested in pursuing a graduate degree in the British Isles, you may consider the Rhodes<http://www.rhodesscholar.org/applying-for-the-scholarship/>, Marshall<http://www.marshallscholarship.org/applications/eligible>, Mitchell<https://www.us-irelandalliance.org/mitchellscholarship/applicants/eligibility>, Gates-Cambridge<https://www.gatescambridge.org/apply/eligibility>, or Churchill<https://churchillscholarship.org/eligibility.html>(Churchill only supports topics in Engineering, Science, and Mathematics) or in China, you may consider the Schwarzman Scholarship<https://www.schwarzmanscholars.org/admissions/eligibility/>. If you have been considering pursuing a graduate degree at Stanford, you should consider applying for the Knight-Hennessy Scholarship<https://knight-hennessy.stanford.edu/admission/eligibility>. In addition to covering the full costs of tuition, these exclusive scholarships provide exciting opportunities in research, as well as connect winners with an impressive network of alumni.
Thanks!
