Cascade is MIT ESP’s newest program, running Saturdays, from October 5th to November 2nd, with classes lasting 1 or 1.5 hours. Cascade aims to instill a love of learning in local 9th and 10th grade students from disadvantaged communities that may not offer many other enrichment opportunities.

Inspire students to love learning as a teacher!
Do you want to inspire underserved students to love to learn and closely interact with them to build a supportive community? We’re looking for teachers to lead 1~1.5 hour interactive and engaging classes that emphasize hands-on activities, discussions, and problem-solving. Past classes have included “Crime Scene Investigation”, “Games, Numbers, and How to Win”, and "What do all the gods love?” Classes are typically taught by pairs or small teams of teachers, so we especially encourage partnering with your friends or colleagues to co-teach a class.

Sign up to teach at: esp.mit.edu/teachcascade2019<http://esp.mit.edu/teachcascade2019> by August 18th (Sunday)! We will contact selected applicants after the registration deadline to schedule a 30-minute informal interview that will take place from August 19th to 31st. Email us with any questions at cascade at mit.edu<mailto:cascade at mit.edu>.

Best,
Michelle and Leslie
