What is it really like to run for Congress? Now you can find out — straight from the candidates themselves!
First We Marched, Then We Ran
Saturday, January 12, 2019
9 am - 5 pm
Building 32-123
Free tickets available at: http://firstwemarched.com<http://firstwemarched.com/>
More than three dozen 2018 Democratic congressional candidates will be at MIT on Saturday, Jan. 12, including Andrew Janz (CA-22), Liuba Grechen Shirley (NY-2), Laura Moser (TX-7), Ammar Campa-Najjar (CA-50), Danny O'Connor (OH-12) and more.
Come meet the candidates, ask questions, and learn from their experiences. They will be speaking on party dynamics, launching a campaign, running in a red district, and personal life while running for office.
This event is free and open to the public, but attendees must obtain free tickets in advance.
MIT is a nonpartisan institution that does not endorse candidates or political parties; there will be a similar event for Republican candidates later this spring.
Event sponsored by the Department of Political Science
Produced by Regina Bateson, Assistant Professor of Political Science, and her students
