Apply to be an MIT Summer Tour Guide – Full Time and Part Time Positions Available!


MIT Admissions is looking for Summer Tour Guides to help welcome over 10,000 visitors to MIT’s campus this summer. Full-time and Part-time positions are available.

Tour Guides are dedicated, enthusiastic students who enjoy sharing their positive experiences at MIT with prospective students, families, as well as other visitors to campus. Full-time Tour Guides are responsible for leading tours (often twice per day), presenting in information sessions, greeting visitors and assisting them with their visit to the Institute, as well as administrative tasks. Part-time tour guides may give tours as needed and as they are able throughout the summer. Each Summer Tour Guides will share their MIT story with thousands of visitors this summer, gain experience in a fun office environment, and eat lots of free snacks!



  *   The full-time position commitment is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. from June 10-August 30, 2019.
  *   Full-time students will be compensated $16/hour and will be provided 6 unpaid vacation days.
  *   Part-time positions are available as needed and as guides are able.
  *   Part-time students will be compensated $26 per 75-min tour. Guides working more than  40hrs/wk at MIT are eligible for overtime pay from Admissions at $39 per 75-min tour when applicable.
