Subject: medical research opportunity for undergrads
Hope this email finds you well! I'm a Course 7 alum and wanted to share this neat research opportunity. It's a paid, short-term task supporting a Harvard med student who would be a great longer-term mentor for anyone involved. Would you be able to send this out to the course list-serv?
Thanks so much,
Steph
---------
I'm a fourth-year medical student at Harvard Medical School and researcher at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute seeking help with a survey assessing oncologists' self-reported practices in discussing prognosis with individuals who have advanced lung cancer. I am looking for assistance in making phone calls to physicians' offices to confirm that they care for lung cancer patients and to verify mailing addresses. I anticipate the phone calls, which would need to be made during business hours (9a-5p), will take about 25 hours to complete (to be completed by mid-October). I will gladly compensate the student $325 for your help. I am also happy to provide guidance on applying to medical school! If you are interested, please send a short paragraph about yourself describing your interests and background to anand_habib at hms.harvard.edu<mailto:anand_habib at hms.harvard.edu>. Thanks!
