Hello, Students,

Want to add another credential to your transcript?
Apply for a HASS Minor by the end of the academic year!

It’s suggested that students apply for a minor by the end of their junior year, but there’s no penalty for missing that application deadline.

Other points:
- One can build directly on a HASS Concentration to create a HASS Minor.
- Of the 8 subjects necessary for the HASS Requirement, up to 5 of them can also be included in a HASS Minor program.
- A HASS Minor consists of 6 subjects.

Complete information on the 30 HASS minor fields and application procedures can be found at:
http://shass.mit.edu/undergraduate/minors.

>From climate change to poverty to disease, the challenges of our age are unwaveringly human in nature and scale; and engineering and science issues are always embedded in broader human realities, from deeply-felt cultural traditions to building codes to political tensions.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Very best wishes,
-Andrea Wirth
