Who's your best SHASS teacher this semester?

You can reward a great professor, lecturer, or teaching assistant with the James A. and Ruth Levitan Award for Excellence in Teaching. All non-visiting instructors in undergraduate and graduate SHASS subjects are eligible.

SHASS includes: Anthropology (21A), Comparative Media Studies (CMS), Economics (14), Global Studies & Languages (21G), History (21H), Linguistics & Philosophy (24), Literature (21L), Music & Theater Arts (21M), Political Science (17), Science/Technology & Society (STS), Women’s & Gender Studies (WGS), and Writing (21W).

Nominating is easy.
Simply send an email nomination by Sunday, April 8, 2018 to: shass-teaching-award at mit.edu<mailto:shass-teaching-award at mit.edu> .

Include the following information in your email:
Your name and email
Name of your favorite teacher
Subject(s) taken with that teacher
A detailed nomination supporting this teacher

Please comment on:
Teaching effectiveness  |  Impact  |  Approachability  |  Responsiveness to student progress

Please send your email by Sunday, April 8, 2018!
If you’ve sent a nomination last fall, we still have it!  Nominations will be collected each semester and awards for the whole academic year will be determined every spring.
