This will be the 6th year of the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. - inspired Arts and Performance Contest that I organize with much student help! We’re funded by the Institute Community and Equity Office and we are hoping to have another great event.

I would really appreciate it if you would send this to your students (graduate and undergraduate) to help me recruit entries and also attendance.  Here’s a bit of information about the contest and a poster to send out if you can.

Are you inspired by the ideals of Dr. King, Nelson Mandela, Harvey Milk, Sojourner Truth, Gandhi, Raffi Freedman-Gurspan and others?  Express yourself by entering:

• Visual Art (painting, photography, sculpture, video)
• Performance Art (music, song, spoken word, dance, theater)
• Literary work (poetry, short story, speech, play)

Win Cash Prizes up to $250 each!

Contest open to all MIT students and Wellesley students cross registered at MIT
