Subject: [Biohqstaff] [Bio68staff] [Biostaff] Reminder about today's (9/26) Colloquium
Hello Biology Community,
Today’s Colloquium is a “Science Slam”, same time, same place.
Bring your smartphone, tablet, or laptop to participate in the audience voting.
Coffee, cookies and snacks will be served in 68-181 AFTER the colloquium.
What is the Science Slam?
Eight graduate students and postdocs have three minutes to present their research projects in a compelling way and compete to earn favor with audience members and with judges, including Emilie Marcus, editor-in-chief of Cell and CEO of Cell Press; Ellen Clegg, editorial page editor of the Boston Globe and author of Chemobrain: How Cancer Therapies Can Affect Your Mind; and Ari Daniel, independent science reporter and multimedia producer and Boston producer of Story Collider.
Please join us and cheer the participants on.
Best,
Rebecca Chamberlain
