[bioundgrd] Next Biology Colloquium (9/26): Science Slam

Hello Biology Community,

Next week, our Biology Colloquium Series will host a special event: a "Science Slam!”    As usual, at 4:00 p.m. in Rm. 32-123.  

Eight graduate students and postdocs have three minutes to present their research projects in a compelling way. 

Come learn about 8 exciting projects, and cheer these participants on as they compete to earn favor with audience members and with judges, including Emilie Marcus, editor-in-chief of Cell and CEO of Cell Press; Ellen Clegg, editorial page editor of the Boston Globe and author of Chemobrain: How Cancer Therapies Can Affect Your Mind; and Ari Daniel, independent science reporter and multimedia producer and Boston producer of Story Collider. 

Audience voting will be done electronically so bring your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.

Please join us for coffee, cookies, and snacks AFTER the colloquium in 68-181.
