Good afternoon,

The Global Education Team will be hosting the following info sessions this semester. Information for the IAP Global Education Scholarship is also listed below.

Tuesday, September 19th – Study Abroad Info Session (5:15pm, 4-370)
Are you interested in studying abroad, but are unsure where to start? Come learn about opportunities during IAP, summer, fall and/or spring semesters. Funding and logistics will be discussed. Returned students will be on hand to help answer any questions, as well as share their own abroad experiences.

  *   Earn transfer credit towards HASS and/or your major.
  *   Graduate within four years.
  *   Financial Aid applies and scholarship available.
  *   Gain hands-on skills, first-hand knowledge and lifelong contacts.


Friday, September 22nd – London School of Economics (2:30-3:30pm, E19-202)
Drop by to meet with a LSE representative to discuss LSE’s summer programs. Every year MIT students participate in LSE’s Summer School. Open to all majors.


Tuesday, September 26th – MIT Madrid Info Session (5:15pm, 8-205)
Want to spend a semester in Spain and still graduate within four years? Come learn about the MIT-Madrid program, your chance to study in your major in Madrid!Application Deadline – Monday, October 2nd

  *   Fall or spring semester studying in Madrid sophomore or junior year.
  *   Transfer credit for courses in your major and beyond.
  *   Courses available in English.
  *   MIT Financial Aid portable for this program.
  *   Homestay with a Spanish family.
  *   Optional internship during the semester to complement your academic courses.
  *   Travel within Spain and throughout Europe.


Tuesday, October 3rd – IAP Programs Abroad Info Session (5:15pm-7:00pm, 1-190)
Take one of four courses during IAP and earn HASS-H credit.  Learn more about the four course options: Spanish III-21G.793 (Madrid, Spain), Spanish Conversation and Composition-21G.795 (Madrid, Spain), The Spanish Incubator-21L.590 section 2; taught in English (Madrid, Spain) & Literary London-21L.590 section 1 (London, England).  Scholarships are available. Application Deadline – Wednesday, October 18th

Wednesday, November 1st – IAP Global Education Scholarship
Are you considering other IAP programs beyond the MIT led courses in Madrid and London? Apply for a scholarship to help fund your international coursework for the educational experience of a lifetime. Scholarship applications will open October 1st.
