Dear Course 7 Students,

MIT EMS is the student ambulance service for the MIT campus. We offer a class through the duration of January as part of the process of joining and volunteering with our service. The class is open to MIT graduate students, undergraduate students, and staff. This is an opportunity to work with your hands, be prepared for emergencies, and get a break from desk or lab work. We are staffed 24/7, and have vastly quicker responses to on-campus emergencies than outside agencies. This is a great way to give back and interact with the community in a fulfilling way. Additionally, you will get to know shortcuts on campus, as well as get to drive an ambulance!

We are a community. We support each other, and help each other grow. Here you can create incredible personal and professional relationships, as well as practice small-unit leadership, mentoring, followership, and conflict resolution.

Applications for the January class are due November 1st. Applications, as well as more information, are available at ems.mit.edu<https://owa.exchange.mit.edu/owa/redir.aspx?C=O4XuKYDnnf6qmavIHvSbm1ekyC23nzQd3vywOfQ7nJBKHZUH0hTVCA..&URL=http%3a%2f%2fems.mit.edu>.

Sincerely,

Alice Zhou
Community Relations Officer
