Designing Your Life

Careers are ill-defined, "wicked" problems. Learn how proven design thinking mindsets like curiosity, bias to action, reframing, and collaboration can help you help you design and build your career in the face of all the unknowns. Practice and take home valuable tools and questions to explore and develop a career that works for you. Designing Your Life<http://designingyour.life/> (DYL) is a career exploration approach pioneered by Stanford design faculty, recently publicized in the best-selling book<https://www.amazon.com/Designing-Your-Life-Well-Lived-Joyful/dp/1101875321/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1503069924&sr=1-1&keywords=designing+your+life> by professors Bill Burnett and Dave Evans. This workshop will be led by MIT staff, who attended the first-ever DYL training at Stanford. This specific workshop is for PhD students. Harvard Law School Info Session

A representative from Harvard Law School (HLS) will speak about studying at HLS and the admissions process for both the regular J.D. program and the new Junior Deferral Program (JDP). The Art of Behavioral Interviewing
Wednesday, October 18th, 1:00pm – 2:30pm, E19-202
While your technical skills will get you the interview, it is your behavioral attributes that will get you the job.  In this workshop we will discuss preparation and strategies for a successful interview. In addition, sample behavioral interview questions will be provided along with tips on how to answer those tough questions. This workshop is open to undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs and alumni. Informational Interviewing 101
