Quiet Power: Learning to Lead as an Introvert
Speaker: Dr. Heidi Kasevich
Monday, February 27, 3:00 – 4:00 pm, E25-111

Ever wonder why you become exhausted at large events, while some of your friends seem energized by them? Do you sometimes hesitate to raise your hand in class, while others seem eager to speak? If these scenarios sound familiar, you may be on the introverted side of the introversion-extroversion spectrum. Recent data suggests there may be a biological basis behind this behavior and there are accompanying positive aspects to the way introverts think and behave. Dr. Heidi Kasevich<https://www.linkedin.com/in/heidi-kasevich-ph-d-376766102>, will be coming to MIT on Feb 27, 3-4 pm (E25-111) to present the latest on what is known about the introversion-extroversion spectrum and will discuss how introverts can use their natural inclinations in order to become self-confident and successful. She will also discuss biological differences in decision making. Dr. Kasevich seeks to help others understand how we can use both self-awareness and data from behavioral research to optimize our ability to lead in today’s world.
