Subject: Invitation to free interactive workshop - CHRISPR
Greetings,
Please facilitate this free invitation to the group – to an interactive workshop on Biomedical Insights: How CRISPR and Genetic Science are Changing Everything to be held on February 28, 2017. This session is hosted by MIT Technology Review and its partner BBVA as part of their OpenMind initiative. The OpenMind is an initiative that includes community members such as: CSAIL, the Media Lab, and others. I hope you will join us and spread the word. Here are the details:
Biomedical Insights: How CRISPR and Genetic Science are Changing Everything
Registration: https://openmind-biomed.eventbrite.com
Genomic research and technologies like CRISPR are leading to unprecedented improvements in how we diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases. But are the legal ramifications and societal policies lagging behind the science? In this dynamic and interactive workshop, leading experts and researchers will share their insights while leading an in-depth discussion around the ethics and the challenge of balancing the need for scientific advances while protecting basic human and legal rights.
Speakers: Steven Monroe Lipkin, MD, Weill Cornell Medicine, Cornell University
Samberg Conference Center, MIT Building E52, 6th floor ,50 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA 02139
We invite you and your group, specifically to contribute to the conversation. This will be an excellent opportunity to network with industry leaders, academics, and stakeholders in the world of topic. The timing of this workshop is aligned with the release of OpenMind’s new book, The Next Step: Exponential Life. OpenMind publishes many books, articles, posts, reports, and more; and they are always looking for new contributors (if you are interested)!
Sincerely,
Marcy Rizzo
