December Events:
* Find Your Why: Med School Essay Brainstorming Workshop
Date: TOMORROW!!!--12/6 from 12:00-1:00pm
Location: 3-133
Description: Are you planning to apply to medical school this year? Have you thought about your answer to "why medicine?" In this group session, we will work together to brainstorm ideas for the personal statement for medical school. Together we will help you find your why! Lunch will be provided! Highly recommended for those hoping to apply in the 2019 cohort.

* Prehealth Advising Drop-ins
Date: Tuesday December 12/12 from 11:00-1:00pm will be out last drop-in date for the fall semester!
Location: E17-294, Prehealth Advising Area (check-in on the computer at the front desk).
Description: Come with your burning prehealth questions! Examples: When should I take 5.12? What should I do this summer? How can I find someone to shadow?

* Gender Affirmative Patient Care
Date: Friday, January 19 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm
Location: Bldg E19 – 202
Description: This IAP Workshop will ground students in gender affirmative language and practices so they can deliver quality patient care and participate in normalizing gender inclusivity in the health care arena.

* Exploring Pelvic Pain: Through A Team-Based Approach
Dates: Jan. 29th-Feb. 1st from 10am-12pm
Location: Bldg. E19-202
Description: Pelvic pain is a broad term used to describe discomfort in the pelvic region that lasts for at least six months or more. It can be caused by pelvic floor dysfunction, diseases such as endometriosis and adenomyosis. Throughout the week-long course, we will examine addressing pelvic pain from the perspectives of a surgeon, an OBGYN physician, a nurse practitioner, an anesthesiologist, and more. This non-credit course is great for anyone interested in learning about pelvic pain or anyone looking to become a health professional in the future.
